Direct Support Professional - Day Program (DSO) - Mon - Fri Part Time 30

About the role

BARC is a non-profit organization supporting adult individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities through Residential, Vocational, Recreation and Day Support Services. We are currently seeking professional, caring, and motivated Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to assist individuals in our Day Program.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals in achieving their daily activities and personal goals.
• Provide personal care and attend community and social activities.
• Transport individuals to and from programs and activities.
• Administer medications and treatments following all guidelines and accurately document.
• Create a safe and nurturing environment that respects individuals' rights and protects them from abuse or neglect.
• Record daily activities while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with all policies and procedures.
• Obtain and maintain required certifications and trainings (in person and online).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least age 18.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
• May require obtaining a Public Passenger Endorsement (PPE) license.
