Direct Support Professional - Day Habilitation

About the role

Support young adults (ages 18–25) with developmental disabilities as they build independence, develop life and social skills, and explore future pathways, including pre-employment, competitive employment, supported employment, and traditional day habilitation services.

Responsibilities

• Support young adults in building independence and developing life and social skills.
• Provide individualized support, coaching, and skill development.
• Foster self-determination, community participation, and daily living skills.
• Implement individualized support plans.
• Auxiliary with community outings and transportation.
• Provide personal care as needed.
• Complete required documentation.
• Assist with meal preparation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Requirements

• Must be 18 or older.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet prerequisites for employment, which includes:
• Criminal Background Check,
• Division of Aging Employee Disqualification List, and
• A valid driver’s license, proof of vehicle insurance, and an acceptable driving record must be maintained. Must be able to drive a large van and take and pass a defensive driving course.

Position Requirements

• Full Time: 40 Hrs. Monday through Friday 8am-4pm (with possibility of before and after care).
• Pay Rate: $20 per hour.
