About the role
We are seeking a supportive individual to assist Matthew in his daily routine. Matthew requires assistance with transportation to various activities and locations.
Responsibilities
- Pick up Matthew from his home in the morning and transport him to a variety of locations and scheduled activities throughout the day.
- Return Matthew home in the afternoon.
- Support Matthew in participating in activities such as walking on local trails, horseback riding, swimming, exercising at the YMCA, visiting animal farms, visiting local libraries, and making small purchases in the community.
- Ensure Matthew's safety and adherence to safety rules.
- Engage with Matthew in preferred physical activities and diffuse mild physical aggression.
- Work collaboratively with Matthew to achieve service and communication goals.
- Keep organized records of services provided.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance with minimum policy coverage of $100,000/$300,000.
- Reliable vehicle.
- Experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities preferred.
- Loving disposition, patience, and ability to handle challenging behaviors.
- Firm but soft-spoken demeanor.
- Energetic and sense of humor.
- Ability to engage in client's preferred physical activities.
- Ability to work together with clients to complete organizational tasks.
- Ability to carry out individual service and communication goals.
- At least 18 years old.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.

Pay
$18-$20/hr.
Schedule
Full Time Day Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 3:00pm (37.50 hours per week).
