About The Role
As a DSP Bus Monitor, you are a key part of each rider's daily routine—offering support, reassurance, and stability from start to finish. You'll help ensure every passenger experiences a safe, comfortable, and respectful ride while following all safeguards and interaction guidelines. Your attention to detail and caring approach help create a positive transportation experience for individuals we support.
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals on and off the vehicle and provide support between residences or programs and transportation.
- Work closely with Bus Operators to ensure all safety equipment is properly secured, including wheelchair tie-downs, seatbelts, trays, and brakes, before transport and safely released upon arrival.
- Provide the appropriate level of supervision based on each individual's needs during routes.
- Offer personal care assistance when required.
- Ensure every ride is smooth, safe, and dignified through calm presence and teamwork.
Requirements
- AMAP-Certified - safely administer medication to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
- High School diploma or GED Certificate.
- SCR clearance.
Pay & Schedule
Pay range: $17.92 - $18.67 per hour
Schedule: Mon-Fri Split shift 6 am-9:30am and 1pm-4pm. Full-time: 35-40 hours per week
