Direct Support Professional

About the role

As a caregiver at Sevita, you’ll assist people with personal hygiene, support individuals who may have behavioral challenges and other complex needs, and help participants build skills, overcome challenges, and reach their full potential. You’ll develop meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve, take initiative to help them engage in community activities, and support their developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal hygiene.

• Help individuals build skills and overcome challenges to reach their full potential.
• Develop meaningful relationships with those you serve.
• Take initiative to help participants engage in community activities and favorite pastimes.
• Support developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination (preferred).
• Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
