Direct Support Professional

About the role

As a Caregiver at REM Community Services, you’ll join a mission-driven team and create relationships that motivate us all every day. You’ll assist people with their personal hygiene, support individuals who can have behavioral challenges and other complex needs, and help participants be part of the community while enjoying their favorite activities. You’ll also support participants with developmental goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.

Responsibilities

• Provide rewarding work helping people grow, learn, and live well
• Develop real, meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve
• Take initiative to support participants in community activities
• Assist with personal hygiene and behavioral challenges
• Support developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination (preferred)
• Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance
