About the role
As a caregiver at Sevita, you’ll join a mission-driven team and create relationships that motivate us all every day. You’ll assist people with their personal hygiene and support individuals who can have behavioral challenges and other complex needs. Your work will help participants grow, learn, and live well by supporting them with developmental goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition, and helping them be part of the community and enjoy their favorite activities.
Responsibilities
- Support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their daily lives.
- Assist with personal hygiene and care for individuals with behavioral challenges and complex needs.
- Help participants achieve developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
- Take initiative to integrate participants into the community and facilitate their favorite activities.
- Develop meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
- Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.

Pay
Compensation for this position is established by the applicable union collective bargaining agreement (CBA). The hourly rate is $20.55 for individuals with less than one year of relevant experience and $21.65 for those with one or more years of relevant experience.
