Direct Support Professional

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental or behavioral health needs.
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
Support individuals in developing communication, social, and life skills.
Ensure a safe, supportive, and respectful environment that promotes dignity and independence.
Follow individualized care plans and document services in compliance with California regulations and agency standards.
Collaborate with team members to support overall health, safety, and well-being.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Possess a verifiable High School Diploma or GED
• Hold a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Minimum of 6 months of experience providing direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities, including experience supporting behavioral health or behavioral services
• Ability to pass required background checks and meet all California hiring and compliance requirements

Certification Requirements

• Must complete DSP 1 and DSP 2 Certification within 1 year of hire
• Must complete Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification within 1 year of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Dual Diagnose experience is a PLUS!
