About the role

We are seeking Direct Support Professionals to join our team at our program in Philadelphia. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to create long-term impacts on individuals' lives and enjoy encouraging, mentoring, and coaching others to achieve their goals.

Spend your day in a variety of settings making memories with individuals. By following the Individual Support Plan, you can enjoy days at the park and sensory gardens while working on social and communication skills. Enhance independence by assisting with daily hygiene and personal care. Foster a sense of pride by teaching individuals to navigate daily living activities, such as housekeeping and laundry.

Responsibilities

  • Support individuals in achieving their goals through encouragement, mentoring, and coaching.
  • Assist with daily hygiene and personal care.
  • Teach and support daily living activities, including housekeeping and laundry.
  • Follow the Individual Support Plan to work on social and communication skills.
  • Engage individuals in community outings and activities (e.g., parks, sensory gardens).

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Verifiable High School diploma or G.E.D preferred.
  • Experience in a home health aide setting or school setting working with people who have Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities is preferred.
  • Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.

Pay

Earn up to $16.75/hour with the election of the Enhanced Pay option.

Schedule

1st shift with weekends: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
