Direct Support Professional
About the role
Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team in Stockton, CA. DSPs interact and support individuals with developmental disabilities in community, family or individual homes, generic community settings, and Adult Training Facilities. The role involves assisting with direct care and implementing behavior plans, enhancing health, safety, dignity, and contentment of every consumer by aiding in personal care, communication, and social skill development.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have a verifiable High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Dual Diagnosis experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license required
- At least six months of experience providing direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities, with a focus on behavioral services
- Required to complete DSP 1 and DSP 2 certification within 1 year of hire date
- Required to complete RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) certification within 1 year of hire date
Pay
Earn $24–$26 per hour. Rate increases by $2 per hour upon obtaining RBT (Registered Behavioral Technician) certification.
