About the role

Merakey is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Registered Behavior Technician or licensed psychiatric technician. This position requires a high school diploma or GED, along with certification in one of these areas. Applicants must have at least 6 months of experience working with individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) or Mental Health (MH) needs, or an equivalent background. Additional knowledge, skills, and abilities include:

• Desire to help others reach their fullest potential
• Ability to read, speak, and write in English
• Valid driver's license, if required
• Completion of PPD testing and physical examination upon hire, with periodic updates
• Flexibility to work a flexible schedule as needed
• Ability to model, teach, and encourage socially-acceptable behaviors

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old.

Skills

Must have the ability to read, speak, and write in English.
