Direct Support Professional
About the role
Devereux/TCV is hiring for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in the Lynda Lane, North Versailles area of Pittsburgh. The position offers a pay range of $18.25 - $20.96 per hour, with a full-time schedule including specific shifts.
Responsibilities
- Work with a multidisciplinary team to support individuals with disabilities.
- Provide care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health needs, and substance abuse issues.
- Apply techniques learned during training to assist individuals in daily activities (ADLs).
- Ensure compliance with company policies and maintain a safe environment.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
Requirements
- Be 18 years of age or older.
- Hold a High School Diploma or GED.
- Have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record for at least 3 years.
- Pass a PA state criminal history check, child abuse record check, and FBI clearance.
- Pass a pre-employment drug screening, one-step TB test, and physical examination.
- Have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or as a care provider.
- Show empathy, patience, and the ability to lift up to 50+ pounds.
