Direct Support Professional (All shifts)

Responsibilities

• Support children or young adults in developing independence in personal care, meal preparation, household tasks, and other life skills
• Provide transportation assistance as needed
• Administer treatments and medications as appropriate, with knowledge of schedules and dosages
• Facilitate community involvement through recreational events, shopping trips, volunteer opportunities, and other activities

Requirements

• Previous work with children or adults with disabilities preferred
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language
• Willing/able to become an approved driver for ChildServe
• Certified Medication Aide (CMA), Medication Manager, or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certifications helpful
• Able to lift up-to 35 lbs., be mobile within the assigned work area, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand
