Direct Support Professional - After School Program

About the role

We are seeking Direct Support Professionals who are passionate about working with individuals with disabilities. This includes assisting people with daily living, hygiene, meal preparation, mobility, and behavioral supports. Openings are available in a variety of capacities and settings, including residential homes, day programs, and supporting individuals in the community or in their own home.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities
• Support hygiene and personal care
• Prepare meals
• Assist with mobility
• Provide behavioral supports

Requirements

• Verbal and written communication skills adequate for the specific job
• At least eighteen (18) years of age
• Approved background clearance application through the Office of Licensing annually
• Specific language abilities (other than English) may be required
• Reliable transportation to the work site and for transporting people, if applicable
• Access to a telephone
• Ability to meet minimum training requirements and complete renewals as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be 21 or older if required to drive an approved RISE vehicle
• Maintain a valid Driver’s License, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance that meets minimum requirements of RISE insurance policies if using a personal vehicle for transporting people
