Job Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and supervision to children with disabilities in a residential respite setting.
- Aid with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, and eating.
- Create a nurturing and safe space through patience, empathy, and clear communication.
- Implement individualized service and behavior support plans tailored to each child’s unique needs.
- Engage clients in age-appropriate recreational and community-based activities to foster skill-building and social integration.
- Maintain detailed, timely documentation of daily activities, incidents, and client progress, while complying with HIPAA and 245D licensing standards.
- Collaborate with families, clinical professionals, and other team members to ensure consistent and holistic care.
- Support with mobility needs and physical transfers as required.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
- Must pass DHS background study and meet all 245D licensing requirements.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
