About the role
Bridgewell strengthens communities by providing social and human services that empower people with disabilities and other life challenges. We deliver support through various programs including community housing, day programs, outpatient treatment, recovery services, education, and employment training. Responsibilities
- Provide support and assist people in our services with skills training in all activities of daily living during the day, evening, and/or overnight hours.
- Create opportunities and provide support to people in our services to make decisions and foster independence.
- Support people in our services according to regulatory standards and Bridgewell policies.
- Manage medical, clinical, and financial needs of people in our services.
- Transport and accompany people in our services to and from medical, recreational, and other activities.
- Maintain daily progress notes, shift checklists, and other required documentation.
- Complete household cleaning duties as assigned.
- Conduct steady care calls as per guidelines.
- Afford access to resources and recreational opportunities in the community.
- Administer medications according to MAP regulations.
- Maintain all mandatory training certifications such as FA/CPR, PABC, and MAP.
- Develop positive relationships with guardians, family members, and other stakeholders.
- Serve as the program's Fire Safety Officer, Safety Coordinator, or Human Rights Officer.
- Comply with Bridgewell Safety Checks Policy.
- Attend and participate in program staff meetings and supervision meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, with at least 5+ years of verified experience in the same position.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience working with people with developmental or psychiatric disabilities preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft products and web-based applications.
- Ability to drive a large and/or wheelchair van, with a valid US driver's license and at least one year of driving experience.
Qualifications
Employees working in residential programs must be able to:
- Climb stairs and assist people served, often weighing more than 200 pounds, with movement, bathroom routines, and physical interventions.
- Drive a 12-passenger van.

Pay
The hourly rate range for this position is $20.68 to $21.28. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors including seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, or other applicable factors.
