Direct Support Manager - Defiance County

About the role

This is a full-time position responsible for providing leadership over the home serving adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities. This role provides assistance in planning and implementation of the services/outcomes for each individual, communicates progress, establishes and maintains professional relationships with all members of the team, and ensures the welfare and safety of each consumer at all times.

Responsibilities

• Provides support and supervision to the Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in the home and ensures quality services are delivered to the people we serve.
• Responsible for on-call responsibilities after normal business hours, including nights and weekends.

Requirements

• Must have strong communication, writing, time management, and organizational skills.
• Must be able to use discretion and make independent decisions based on good judgment.
• Must possess good problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
• Must possess acceptable employment and background screenings.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
