Direct Support Caregiver

About the role

REM Community Services, a part of the Sevita family, provides community‑based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a caregiver you will help people grow, learn, and live well while developing meaningful relationships and supporting participants in daily activities and developmental goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop real, meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve.
• Take initiative to help participants engage in community activities and enjoy their favorite pursuits.
• Support participants with developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
• Assist individuals with personal hygiene.
• Provide support for participants who have behavioral challenges and other complex needs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
