Direct Support Caregiver

About the Role

REM Community Services, part of the Sevita family, provides community‑based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a caregiver you will develop real, meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve, support them in achieving developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition, and help them participate in community activities. You will also assist with personal hygiene and provide support for participants who have behavioral challenges or other complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain rewarding relationships with participants.
• Support participants in community outings and favorite activities.
• Assist with personal hygiene and daily living tasks.
• Help participants work toward developmental goals, including budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
• Provide compassionate care for individuals with behavioral challenges and complex needs.
• Take initiative to ensure participants are included in community life.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, adaptability, multitasking, teamwork, and time‑management skills.
• Patient, compassionate, reliable, and responsible demeanor.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.

Pay

Hourly wage $17.00. Competitive pay on demand.
