Direct Support Caregiver

About the role

You’ll assist people with their personal hygiene and support individuals who can have behavioral challenges and other complex needs. If you’re compassionate, patient, and find meaning in this type of work, you'll find a promising future at Sevita.

Responsibilities

• Be proud of rewarding work helping people grow, learn, and live well
• Develop real, meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve

• Take initiative to help participants be part of the community and enjoy their favorite activities
• Support participants with developmental goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (proof of education is required)
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Six months of experience (intellectual disabilities, behavioral health, or mental health preferred)
• Valid Driver’s license held for at least 1 year (post permit) and a clean driving record that meets Sevita’s insurability policy
• Proof of full coverage vehicle insurance and reliable personal vehicle

• Full Time
• Every other Saturday 1p–11p
• Every other Sunday 9a–5p
• Monday 9a–6p
• Wednesday 1p–8p
• Friday 5p–11p
• Every other Saturday 1p–8p

Pay

Hire wage is $17 hourly.
