About the role

As a Direct Sales Representative at Sparklight (a Cable One brand), you will secure new recurring revenue from residential prospects and incremental revenue from existing customers through proactive in-person visits.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality face-to-face in-home sales presentations to new Sparklight customers.
  • Identify customer needs, wants, and desires in conversation and match them with company products.
  • Diplomatically handle interactions with potential customers.
  • Reconcile daily sales orders with install reports and maintain documentation of sales orders.
  • Attend in-person sales meetings and training sessions as directed by management.
  • Achieve established sales goals and quotas.
  • Work independently to promote the sales of Sparklight residential products and services.
  • Manage a monthly portfolio of prospects, optimizing your time and route to maximize face-to-face interactions.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of one year of proven sales experience; or 2 years of college; or equivalent combination of sales experience and college education.
  • Stable work history.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation/vehicle, and automobile insurance as required by Sparklight.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and attitude to represent Sparklight in the community.
  • Basic mathematical and computer skills.
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions, walk for extensive periods, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
  • Proficient time management skills and ability to prioritize.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
