About the role
As a Direct Sales Representative at Sparklight (a Cable One brand), you will secure new recurring revenue from residential prospects and incremental revenue from existing customers through proactive in-person visits.
Responsibilities
- Conduct quality face-to-face in-home sales presentations to new Sparklight customers.
- Identify customer needs, wants, and desires in conversation and match them with company products.
- Diplomatically handle interactions with potential customers.
- Reconcile daily sales orders with install reports and maintain documentation of sales orders.
- Attend in-person sales meetings and training sessions as directed by management.
- Achieve established sales goals and quotas.
- Work independently to promote the sales of Sparklight residential products and services.
- Manage a monthly portfolio of prospects, optimizing your time and route to maximize face-to-face interactions.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of one year of proven sales experience; or 2 years of college; or an equivalent combination of sales experience and college education.
- Stable work history.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation/vehicle, and automobile insurance as required by Sparklight.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and attitude to represent Sparklight in the community.
- Basic mathematical and computer skills.
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions, walk for extensive periods, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
- Proficient time management skills and ability to prioritize.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
