About the Role

In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives. We are seeking an experienced, high-caliber Sales Representative/Territory Manager for EP. The Sales Rep calls on physicians and hospitals to sell a variety of Abbott's medical devices in an assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct marketing surveys, effectiveness reviews of calls/sales activities, and territory analysis.
  • Service accounts and suggest and present new products.
  • Provide medical professionals with information and training on the use of Company products, including staff education, in-services, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Analyze sales statistics, prepare reports, and perform required administrative sales duties (e.g., filing expense account reports, scheduling appointments, and making travel plans).
  • Attend trade shows where new products and technologies are showcased and conferences to meet other sales representatives and clients to discuss new product developments.
  • Lead a team of clinical specialists.
  • Analyze and evaluate technologically complex devices; work with and direct others effectively.
  • Prepare and present strong written and verbal communications.
  • Deliver sales/marketing information that adds value to management's decision-making process.
  • Sell EP disposables, capital equipment, and service/warranty.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers, physicians, hospital administrators, government agencies, medical groups, and other sales representatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent.
  • Typically five plus years of progressively more responsible sales experience, including experience with cardiovascular medical devices.
  • Verification that you will satisfy all vendor credentialing requirements, which may include vaccination for COVID-19. If a medical or religious accommodation is required, HR will explore needed accommodations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cardiac Electrophysiology mapping/sales experience.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication, negotiation, sales, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of frequently used personal computer programs and relevant applications.

Pay

The base pay for this position is $43,900.00 – $109,200.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
