Summary
Support seamless procurement operations that enable business success. As a Direct Regional Buyer, you will manage day-to-day purchasing activities, including processing requisitions, maintaining purchase orders, updating procurement catalogs, and enabling supplier contracts within our purchasing systems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Guide stakeholders to appropriate buying channels and procurement methods.
- Manage and prioritize requisition queues to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Review and convert requisitions to purchase orders while validating completeness and compliance.
- Solicit vendor quotes and support stakeholders with transactional sourcing needs.
- Maintain accurate data in purchasing systems, including vendor and catalog updates.
- Monitor delivery confirmations and manage receipt and invoice resolution as needed.
- Analyze procurement system data to identify root causes of noncompliance and process delays.
- Recommend and support improvements that reduce turnaround times and drive policy compliance.
- Create and maintain high-usage contracts using approved templates and legal terms.
- Ensure all active contracts are current and properly enabled in purchasing systems for use.
- Build collaborative relationships with business stakeholders and procurement peers.
- Respond to inquiries related to requisitions, purchase orders, deliveries, and catalogs.
- Provide guidance on procurement policies, procedures, and system navigation.
- Cookordination with Accounts Payable and other teams to resolve purchasing and payment exceptions.
Minimum Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing operations, or supply chain support.
Physical Requirements And Environmental Factors
- Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
- May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
- May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
- Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $68,000 - $102,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).
