Direct Care Worker, Shady Oaks East

About the role

Responsible for assisting adults with developmental disabilities and providing care in all areas of daily living in a residential setting at the East Shady Oaks location.

Schedule

• Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday
• 2nd week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday

Essential Functions

• Assist clients with activities of daily living
• Driver and escort clients to outings, appointments, and other places in the community
• Safely complete client transfers per facility protocol
• Perform various housekeeping tasks
• Implement client individual habilitation plans
• Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individuals in a dignified, respectful, honest and fair manner

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Background check clearance required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Able to meet extensive physical requirement of the position
• Demonstrated ability to read and write in English in order to complete required documentation
• Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, both verbally and in writing
• Valid driver's license, in good standing for the state of residency required
