About the role
Aging With Comfort seeks a Direct Care Worker to provide compassionate and supportive care to clients in their homes.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with personal care, including bathroom functions, bathing, grooming, dressing, and eating.
- Following a prescribed healthcare plan, such as assisting with exercise and administering medication.
- Ensuring the client’s home is organized according to their needs and implementing safety measures.
- Providing emotional support and encouragement to help clients perform necessary tasks.
- Mobility assistance may be required, such as helping clients in and out of bed, a chair, or a wheelchair.
- Transporting or escorting clients to medical and other appointments.
- Monitoring and reporting any changes in health, behavior, and needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in caregiving or related field preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
