Summary

This position provides crisis residential services focused on emergency placement of youth, monitoring program services to assure safety, and to encourage and support individuals in reaching their goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensuring recipients basic needs are met including personal hygiene, nutrition, health, sleep routine, and safety.
  • Teaching, supporting, and reinforcing skills through role modeling, sharing information, demonstrating, redirecting/directing, prompting, and behavior management, both on an individual and group basis.
  • Establishing positive relationships with youth; providing regular oversight of youth’s progress toward goals.
  • Completes required written documentation.
  • Completes household tasks which maintain a safe, orderly, and clean environment for recipients and other staff.
  • May provide transportation to recipients.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience Required

  • Minimum high school diploma and 2 years related training/experience or college work preferred.
  • Lived experience with behavioral health issues is desired.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Mandt, C.P.R. and first aid certification or the ability to become certified/trained.
  • Acceptable driving record in compliance with agency policy.
  • Must possess use of a personal vehicle for transportation with valid automobile insurance which designates the employee as an insured driver in accordance with agency policy. May utilize Agency vehicles if available.

Physical Demands

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
  • The employee is required to stand, walk, and carry infants in car seats and assist youth into car seats.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Work Environment

  • The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to provide a clear TB test is required for this role.
  • Pre-employment physical is required for this role.
  • Program operates on a 24/7 schedule. Weekends and holidays will be required. Shifts may include 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., or 3 to 11 p.m.
