About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to help create a welcoming, supportive home where clients can build independence, strengthen daily living skills, connect with their community, and work toward their personal goals.
Responsibilities
- Support clients with daily routines, household responsibilities, personal care, and medication needs.
- Teach and reinforce skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, shopping, transportation, and appointment management.
- Help clients participate in employment, education, recreation, relationships, and community activities.
- Follow each client’s individualized service plan while adapting support to their needs and abilities.
- Encourage clients to make informed choices, advocate for themselves, and become increasingly independent.
- Respond calmly and appropriately when clients are experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges.
- Maintain a safe, clean, respectful, and home-like environment.
- Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
- Communicate and collaborate with clients, families, case managers, coworkers, and other members of the support team.

Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet applicable driving requirements.
- Ability to complete required background checks and training.
- Basic computer skills and ability to complete electronic documentation.
- Experience supporting people with disabilities or behavioral health needs is helpful but not required.
