Responsibilities

• Support clients with daily routines, household responsibilities, personal care, and medication needs.
• Teach and reinforce skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, shopping, transportation, and appointment management.
• Help clients participate in employment, education, recreation, relationships, and community activities.
• Follow each client’s individualized service plan while adapting support to their needs and abilities.
• Encourage clients to make informed choices, advocate for themselves, and become increasingly independent.
• Respond calmly and appropriately when clients are experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges.
• Maintain a safe, clean, respectful, and home-like environment.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Communicate and collaborate with clients, families, case managers, coworkers, and other members of the support team.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet applicable driving requirements.
• Ability to complete required background checks and training.
• Basic computer skills and ability to complete electronic documentation.
• Experience supporting people with disabilities or behavioral health needs is helpful but not required.
