Direct Care Aide

About the role

Lifesteps, a local human service agency in business for over 100 years, is hiring compassionate and caring staff to work with adults who have disabilities in a residential home setting in Gibsonia, PA. Direct Care Aides (Caregivers) assist special needs individuals with activities of daily living and home care, including dressing, meal preparation, bathing, and transport to doctor appointments. Experienced home health aides, nurse's aides, support assistants, and direct support professionals are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Cooking and serving meals
• Cleaning the house
• Shopping for groceries and supplies
• Personal care assistance (grooming, bathing)
• Medication administration
• Individual goal attainment assistance
• Community outings and fun activities

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Ability to lift up to 200 lbs. with assistance
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance
• Ability to obtain ACT 33/34 and FBI clearances

Schedule

Steady part‑time hours are offered, with available daytime shifts from 9 am to 9 pm. No prior experience is required; paid training is provided.
