Dir, Catering

Full-time, onsite role in New York, NY (Monday – Friday schedule).

About the role

We are looking to add a skilled, experienced Director of Catering to our Constellation Culinary Group team in Manhattan. You will lead a variety of events in a professional dining property, providing strategic leadership to the unit sales team to ensure revenue goals are met.

Responsibilities

• Guide and support unit sales, event planning, and execution while personally representing the company.
• Build and lead the unit-level sales team by recruiting, selecting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, and counseling team members to ensure individual and team success.
• Develop business performance against company sales standards and metrics, including budgeted sales goals, event profitability, guest satisfaction, employee engagement, and safety and sanitation.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and employees.
• Ensure the highest level of integrity and accountability in all business dealings.

Requirements

• At least seven years’ experience in event or catering sales management.
• Excellent leadership and analytical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume, upscale catering, restaurant, hotel, or resort environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field.

Pay

$90,000 – $100,000 per year.
