Responsibilities

  • Learn and perform the job assignments of dietary aide, cook, and dishwasher positions
  • Lead small groups of line staff in food preparation, serving, and clean-up activities
  • Provide leadership, support, and guidance to ensure food quality standards, inventory levels, and customer service expectations are met
  • Maintain records of income and expenditures, food, supplies, personnel, and equipment
  • Train staff to meet HCSG standards
  • Communicate all directives from client managers, building occupants, and administrators to HCSG staff
  • Utilize protective gear and adhere to safety precautions
  • Ensure compliance with infection control and universal precautions policies
  • Work around food and cleaning products
  • Be punctual and consistent in attendance and punctual arrival

Qualifications

  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and follow oral and written instructions
  • Utilize leadership skills to accomplish responsibilities without supervision
  • Show proof of or successfully complete an approved CFP Food Protection Manager (FPM) course within 14 days of employment
  • Be certified as a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or meet State & County law requirements
  • Successfully achieve eLuminate Food Service Manager (FSM) and Long-Term Care Food Service (LTC-FSM) certifications within 60 days of employment
  • Have two years of experience in quantity food production/service, dining/nutrition, and personnel supervision
  • Have basic computer skills to maintain records and complete reports
  • Be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, push/pull up to 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods
  • Live in the service area
