Dining Services Associate

The Role

The Dining Services Associate assists the Dining Services Director in creating and executing the signature dining services program at the community. This position provides friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all residents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals to residents in a safe and sanitary manner.
• Ensure a clean, safe working environment by following proper hygiene and cleaning protocols.
• Serve attractive, nutritious meals in a pleasant, respectful manner, considering the special needs of residents.
• Practice safe usage of all equipment and follow cleaning schedules.
• Prepare dining rooms daily: set tables, pour beverages, clear and clean dishes.
• Follow procedures for storing and retrieving stock.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Dining Services Director.

Qualifications

• Certification in the Food Handlers Course or equivalent.
• Previous experience in the food service industry.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Willingness and ability to learn new tasks.
• Availability to work varied shifts and weekends.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand/walk throughout the day.
• Ability to tolerate heat from the kitchen.
• Must be free of communicable diseases.

Pay & Schedule

Pay Range: $15-$19 per hour. Full-time: 7am - 2pm or 3pm - 9pm (some weekends required).
