Dining Services Assistant

Position Summary

Perform dining services duties, prepare, stock, and serve food safely and accurately according to local, state, and departmental guidelines. Prepare and serve food according to departmental standards.

• Operate cooking equipment accurately and consistently in accordance with departmental standards and report any problems in a timely fashion.
• Stock and monitor inventory and report waste or overproduction of food and food-related items.
• Maintain proper rotation of food products and monitor use-by or sell-by dates.
• Maintain food product presentation and quality, suggesting changes or improvements as necessary.
• Provide excellent customer service in working with guests, customers, or co-workers.
• Train and guide part-time, temporary staff, as needed, in accordance with departmental requirements.
• Perform dining area cleaning duties as needed.

Required Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass ServeSafe Certification once employed.
