Dining Server

About the Role

Marycrest, a member of Trinity Health Senior Communities (THSC), is seeking Servers/Waitstaff for its community in Livonia, MI. THSC is one of the nation’s largest, multi-institutional Catholic health care delivery systems, with over 40 communities in multiple states. This role provides assistance in all dining service functions, ensuring meals are served timely and are palatable and appetizing in appearance.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays, food cards, and dining rooms.
• Serve resident meals in the dining room, private dining room, and deliver trays to resident's rooms/apartments.
• Perform dishwashing and cleaning procedures, ensuring utensils and equipment are ready for the next meal.
• Follow safety regulations and precautions at all times.
• Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Ensure all dietary procedures are followed per established policies.
• Prepare food in accordance with sanitary regulations and established policies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• On-the-job training provided; previous experience in food service preferred.
• Previous experience working in long-term care or with the geriatric population preferred.
• Outstanding communication skills and ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Superior customer service skills.
