About the role
The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) seeks a Dining Room Team Lead, Full Time to oversee guests dining at The Cove. This position includes all meals and breaks served outside the dining room.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for set up, service and supervision for banquet service and all functions outside the normal dining service
- Assists with supervision of dining room servers, set up and operation of dining room
- Assists with supervision of buffet line staff, set up and operation of buffet line and break stations
- Oversees cleanliness of dining room and hostess room
- Aids in setup and service of catering events outside dining room
- Maintains uniform standards for dining room staff
- Ensures dining room is ready before service begins
- Maintains compliance with NC Health Regulations
Requirements
- Maintains a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
- Faithfully upholds BGEA in prayer
- Participates in daily BGEA staff devotions including Bible reading, and leading group prayer as schedule permits
- Demonstrates behavior aligned with BGEA’s Mission Statement, Statement of Faith, Hallmarks, policies, and expectations
- Effectively represents Jesus Christ to those within both personal and professional spheres of influence
Skills and Knowledge
- Knowledge with and experience in culinary presentation
- Familiarity with and practice of North Carolina health and safety codes
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with strong attention to detail
- Commitment to hospitality and excellence
- Ability to relate to people well, being approachable
- Ability to analyze and make decisions based on BGTC protocols
- Maintain confidentiality, where appropriate

- Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changing job parameters, deadlines, or directions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team while demonstrating flexibility when priorities change

- Ability to move easily and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift 35 pounds
Working Conditions
- Conventional dining room environment
- Extended daily, evening and weekend hours may be required
