Dining- Driver

Job Responsibilities

• Proper maintenance and storage of food items and equipment in delivery vehicles.
• Keep all equipment, vehicles, hand trucks, dollies clean and in working order.
• Responsible for basic maintenance of vehicle/s, ensuring gas, oil and tire pressure.
• Report any problems to direct supervisor.
• Maintain proper storage and return of items to correct storage areas.
• Adhere to established protocols, policies, driving zones and speed of vehicle.
• Adhere to Dining Services and Academy policies and procedures.
• Adhere to Serve Safe best practices in securing the transportation of food and supplies.
• Absorb and assist in maintaining complete and accurate inventories of all items.
• Observe all policies including MSDS, safety and sanitation.
• Keep informed of all material safety data.
• Perform custodial, dishwashing, production and delivery driver duties as assigned.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience and/or basic understanding of using computers to access e-mail notifications.
• Strong organizational skills in managing inventories and documentation related to job requirements.

Position Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. Some college experience helpful. ServSafe certification is required.
• Experience: Must be 21 years of age or older. Driving experience of commercial vehicles preferred. Experience in working in an institutional or campus setting. Customer service experience desirable. Experience working with adolescents in an educational setting is preferred.

Physical Requirements

• The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physical demands are in excess of those for sedentary work and will require the ability to remain standing for extended periods of time, go up and down flights of steps, lift and push heavy objects as well as stoop, squat, bend, kneel, crouch, and lift.
• Ability to lift and transport up to 50lbs without assistance.
• Ability to withstand exposure to inclement weather (rain, snow, sleet, freezing temperatures, etc.).
