Dining Attendant

About the Role

Ivy Gables Senior Living is a 65 and older retirement community with the feel of a French Country Bed and Breakfast. As a Dining Attendant, you will serve residents while respecting their dietary needs and food allergies, helping to ensure an enjoyable dining experience.

Schedule & Hours

• Part-Time Position
• Weekends and part time day schedules
• Rotating Holiday Schedule
• Starting at $15.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Transform our utility area into a culinary command center
• Keep the menu chalkboard up-to-date
• Prepare and serve beverages including iced tea, juice, coffee, and tea
• Keep condiment supplies stocked and ready
• Assist the cook when needed
• Perform table quality checks
• Perform table service
• Clean the Dining Room and Kitchen
• Clean microwaves, coffee machines, and juice dispensers
• Keep the snack hutch stocked
• Lead the 2:00 PM hydration cart rollout
• Orchestrate tray service
• Assist residents during medical emergencies
• Monitor and notice residents' eating habits
• Follow cleaning schedules
• Support events as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Six months of culinary experience or food service training
• Experience working with older adults or in the retirement housing industry preferred
• High school diploma or GED
