Dining Associate Job Duties
- Provide a positive customer experience with fair, friendly, and courteous service.
- Assist residents, primarily in health care setting, by serving and delivering meals or other requested menu items.
- Register sales on Point-of-Sale System (POS) by scanning items, itemizing, and totaling customers' purchases, and charging customers (residents, staff, visitors, and family members) according to department policies.
- Portion food in quantities specified by nutritional standards set by Registered Dietitian and management.
- Serve special meals and catered events as needed.
- Assist the cooks and line/prep-cooks as needed and assigned by the team leader and/or management.
- Operate dish machines and all other equipment within the department as required and assigned by the team leader and/or management.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations according to department.
- Sort flatware and glasses as needed.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or its equivalent is preferred. ServeSafe certification is a plus.
- Relevant work experience in dining service or food service is preferred.
- Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing in English language with residents and other team members.
- Able to work holidays and weekends as part of a schedule rotation.
- Possess a reliable and dependable attendance to work profile.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment.

Schedule
