As a Dining Assistant you’ll provide outstanding dining service to residents and guests, ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable mealtime experience. We’re looking for a friendly, detail-oriented individual with excellent customer service skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

About the role

As a Dining Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of our community, providing exceptional dining service to residents while fostering meaningful connections. Whether assisting with meal selections, ensuring a clean and welcoming dining environment, or simply offering a warm smile, you’ll play a key role in helping residents enjoy each mealtime with dignity, joy, and companionship.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Exceptional Dining Service - Assist with seating, building positive relationships with residents and guests, and helping residents select their meals.
  • Ensure Safety and Sanitation - Set and clear tables, arrange seating, and maintain the cleanliness and condition of all flatware and glassware. Perform dishwashing and organize clean dishes in designated areas. Maintain dining and kitchen areas through vacuuming, sweeping, mopping while adhering to safety and infection control procedures.
  • Communicate Effectively - Proactively communicate with residents and team members.
  • Other Duties as Assigned - Participate in special projects, assist in other areas of the building, and attend in-service training sessions and team meetings as required.
  • Follow emergency protocols.
  • Drive the company van to transport meals (valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle record check required).

Requirements

  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Previous experience in dining services, food handling, or customer service is preferred but not required.
  • Proficient in English for effective communication with staff, clients, and visitors.
  • Successful completion of a state-mandated background check.
