Dining Assistant

The Dining Services Assistant/Waiter serves elders and guests in a senior living community, focusing on compassionate and innovative service.

Responsibilities

• Serve elders and guests, take meal orders, and clean tables after meals.
• Prepare and serve meals for the dietary department safely and appetizingly, in compliance with dietary standards, policies, and procedures.
• Clean the kitchen, wash dishes, and return food to proper storage.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Work within a team environment and adhere to procedures regarding infection control, food-borne illness prevention, harmful chemical handling, fire, safety, and sanitation.
• Ensure appropriate snacks are available to elders with special dietary needs.

Requirements

• Kindness and a desire to work with the elderly; enjoy working with people in general.
• Willingness to learn and work within a team environment.
• Good verbal communication and the ability to read, write, and speak English with residents and coworkers.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to perform job responsibilities with or without accommodation.
