About the role
Pratt & Whitney’s Aftermarket Repair organization (PSD) in Springdale, AR is seeking a 3rd shift (AWW) Dimensional Inspector. This position is responsible for processing and inspecting a variety of engine cases to determine and verify conformance to work specifications using prints, work instructions, layouts, gauges, calipers, and other measuring equipment. The site employs 158 people and specializes in the repair of gas turbine engine cases and components.
This role is considered safety-sensitive under FAA guidelines (14 CFR part 120 and 49 CFR part 40). Candidates will be subject to pre-employment and ongoing random drug and alcohol testing.
Responsibilities
- Perform visual and dimensional inspection as part of receiving, in-process, and final inspections.
- Report any discrepancies found during the inspection process.
- Work with engineering specifications, industry standards, repair manuals, and customer requirements.
- Use scribes, verniers, calipers, height gages, depth gages, micrometers, and indicators to perform inspections.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent (e.g., G.E.D in the U.S.) with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required due to program/contract access restrictions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with engineering specifications, industry standards, repair manuals, and customer requirements.
- Experience in aerospace or a related industry.
Schedule
Friday – Sunday, 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM (3rd shift).
