Dimension Inspector

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect fabricated piping spools according to isometric drawings, P&IDs, and fabrication specifications.
• Verify dimensions including: Overall spool length, Center-to-center measurements, Flange orientation and rotation, Elbow angles, Branch locations, Pipe alignment and squareness.
• Use measuring equipment such as tape measures, Vernier calipers, laser measuring devices, angle finders, and levels.
• Review fabrication drawings, weld maps, and quality documentation.
• Record inspection results and prepare dimensional inspection reports.
• Identify and document non-conformances and coordinate corrective actions with fabrication personnel.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, ASME codes, and client requirements.
• Work with welding inspectors, QA/QC personnel, and production teams to resolve dimensional issues.
• Maintain inspection records and ensure traceability of inspected components.
• Follow company safety procedures and quality management systems.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent; technical training is preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in piping fabrication, QA/QC, or dimensional inspection.
• Ability to read and interpret piping isometric drawings and fabrication blueprints.
• Knowledge of piping fabrication processes and welding practices.
• Familiarity with ASME B31.1, B31.3, ASME Section V (where applicable), and industry quality standards such as PFI-ES-3.
• Strong mathematical and measurement skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inspection reporting software are an advantage.
