About the role

We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurially minded consulting leader to join our Digital & Data (D&D) practice and drive accelerated growth in the hyperscale datacenter market. This Senior Manager-level role sits at the intersection of OT Cybersecurity consulting and PMO delivery. You will serve as the senior client-facing leader on complex, mission-critical datacenter programs helping to shape digital strategy, leading cross-functional delivery teams, and expanding our footprint with hyperscale operators and their development partners. Drawing on your expertise in both OT/IT cybersecurity and digital program governance, you will help Jacobs win, structure, and deliver the next generation of digital datacenter engagements.

Business Development & Growth

  • Support Data Center Market Pursuits – Support new consulting opportunities with hyperscale data center developers, co-location operators, and mission-critical end users, with a focus on digital stack, cybersecurity, and PMO service lines.
  • Proposal Leadership – Lead the development of compelling proposals and scopes of work; demonstrate breadth across Digital PMO governance, OT/IT cybersecurity architecture, controls integration, and data analytics for datacenter programs.
  • Client Relationship Management – Build and maintain executive-level relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor on digital transformation, cybersecurity posture, and program delivery strategy.
  • Capability Expansion – Collaborate with Market leadership to extend offerings in areas such as Digital Twin, Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), and AI-enabled data analytics for data center operations.

Program Delivery Leadership

  • Digital PMO Oversight – Oversee the delivery of Digital PMO engagements for large-scale data center programs, including stakeholder alignment, master schedule management, critical path execution, governance structure design, and vendor workstream facilitation.
  • OT Cybersecurity Oversight – Oversee the delivery of IT/OT cybersecurity programs for data center clients, including security architecture, network segmentation, GRC frameworks aligned to NIST CSF/800-82, IEC 62443, and NERC CIP, threat monitoring integration, and grey zone resilience planning.
  • Cross-Domain Integration – Coordinate across Controls, Data Analytics & AI, Asset Management, Energy, and Cybersecurity workstreams to deliver integrated digital solutions including Data Lake architecture, unified IT/OT data flows, DCIM integration, and operational optimization (PUE, chiller plant, energy management).
  • Product Integration – Champion the use of physics-based simulation and digital twin technologies to validate design assumptions, accelerate Level 4 commissioning, and reduce operational risk on major datacenter builds.

People & Team Development

  • Team Leadership – Lead, mentor, and grow a matrixed consulting team combining Core PMO delivery specialists with domain SMEs across cybersecurity, data, controls, and energy.
  • Talent Development – Identify resourcing needs, support hiring efforts, and build team capability to scale the practice in line with datacenter market demand.
  • Thought Leadership – Represent Jacobs externally through white papers, conference presentations, and industry forums, establishing credibility in digital datacenter consulting.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in technology consulting, digital program management, or OT/IT cybersecurity, with at least 3 years in a senior client-facing or delivery leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, multi-workstream consulting engagements for mission-critical infrastructure such as data centers, industrial, utilities, or similar sectors.
  • Strong working knowledge of OT/IT cybersecurity frameworks including NIST CSF, NIST 800-82, IEC 62443, and CIS Controls; familiarity with NERC CIP and ANSI TIA-942 is a plus.
  • Proven ability to manage Digital PMO functions – integrated master scheduling, stakeholder governance, vendor management, risk management, and milestone-driven delivery accountability.
  • Familiarity with data center infrastructure systems including power distribution, cooling (chillers, CRAC/CRAH, CDU/RDHX), DCIM, BMS/EMS, SCADA, and IT/OT network architecture.
  • Ability to translate complex technical content into clear executive communications, proposals, and governance reporting.
  • Track record of growing client relationships and winning competitive consulting engagements.

Skills

  • Experience with hyperscale or co-location datacenter development programs (10 MW+), including digital stack definition, vendor onboarding, and go-live support.
  • Hands-on background in IT/OT security architecture design, ICS network design, or operational technology infrastructure for data centers or industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with data architecture concepts – Data Lake/Data Fabric design, API integration, unified IT/OT data flows, and data analytics platforms for operational intelligence.
  • Experience with digital twin, physics-based simulation, or pre-commissioning analysis tools applied to building systems or industrial control environments.
  • Exposure to HPC, DCaaS, or HPCaaS business models and their integration into datacenter operational frameworks.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, project scheduling tools (MS Project / Primavera), and digital collaboration platforms.
