Digital Print & Production Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Adhering to a Schedule: Keep track of jobs and tasks, and adhere to timelines set by project managers.
• Print & Plotter Operations: Set up and operate roll-to-roll and flatbed printers. Operate digital cutter and laser systems for precision trimming and routing.
• Professional Finishing: Mount, laminate, and trim digitally imaged products using the laminator. Conduct pre-/post-production inspections for color accuracy, spelling, and physical defects.
• Vinyl Application: Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images and apply graphics to various substrates (PVC, Aluminum, Acrylic).
• Quality Assurance: Proofread signs and conduct pre-/post-production inspections.
• Inventory & Shop Care: Monitor stock levels and report reorder needs. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production area.
• Installation Support: Assist with on-site sign installations and learn the technical skills required for vehicle graphic applications.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine daily/weekly maintenance on printers and cutting equipment to ensure peak performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical Aptitude: Ability to learn and operate proprietary print software and digital cutting equipment. Must be comfortable with computer skills.
• Precision Math: Must be proficient in adding/subtracting fractions and converting to decimals; mastery of a tape measure is non-negotiable.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive hand-motion tasks (squeegee application) at a waist-high table.
• Detail Oriented: A "measure twice, cut once" mindset with a sharp eye for color and alignment.
• Professional Attitude: Commit to being respectful, honest, and constructive with coworkers.
