Digital Print Operator
Contribute to the growth of our business by being a key player in safely producing quality corrugated products for our customers. Work within a small group and help lead your crew to maximize machine efficiencies by setting up orders correctly, performing quality checks, and communicating issues.
About the role
This full-time position reports directly to a Production Supervisor and is located at our Riverside, California manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities
- Operate machine by setting up orders according to customer specifications, following order readiness process of efficiently preparing the right tools to complete the job.
- Perform quality checks by inspecting a first article and articles throughout the order to identify errors, ensuring quality of finished goods and raw materials.
- Enter production metrics into a computer electronic system to accurately track progress of production rates, quality, maintenance, and downtime.
- Assist in managing electronic files for processing orders on the digital printer machine, working within the electronic order management system to ensure accuracy.
- Proactively communicate issues with equipment to appropriate leaders, troubleshoot issues, and problem solve individually and as a team to maximize overall equipment efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Aid in managing ink consumption by monitoring ink levels and communicating shortages.
- Provide guidance and support to other Machine Operators, as needed.
- Intermittently complete minor repairs to equipment in partnership with supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area by following post-order cleaning process.
- Follow plant safety processes and procedures outlined for the machine center.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution AND 3+ years of work experience within a manufacturing environment OR 4+ years manufacturing experience in lieu of education.
- Previous experience with reading a tape measure to within 1/16” measurement.
- Previous demonstrated computer skills including typing, printing, and data entry.
- Previous experience applying math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Previous experience reading and completing detailed work instructions.
- Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the corrugated industry.
- Experience operating a digital printer.
- Experience with electronic color management systems.
- Experience with operational excellence or continuous improvement programs – Lean 6 Sigma, Kaizen Events.

Eligibility in benefit programs is based on hours worked per week.
Pay
The starting pay rate for this position is $25.00 per hour plus hourly shift differential pay. The compensation posted is the anticipated pay for the position at the time of the posting. Additional compensation may be available in the form of bonuses.
