About the role

The Digital Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Canon, Zeikon, and Komori digital presses to produce vibrant, high-quality printed materials that meet exacting customer specifications. This role requires technical precision, color accuracy, and a passion for digital print innovation. The operator monitors print quality, registration, and consistency throughout each job, making adjustments to achieve flawless results.

Responsibilities

• Operate high-quality digital printing presses to meet customer specifications
• Monitor print runs to ensure consistent color, registration, and image quality
• Interpret layouts, check paper stock, and assist in overall press setup (sheet size, coating, blankets, etc.)
• Refill and adjust paper trays to maintain efficient production flow
• Load substrates onto the press and accurately record production data
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and cleaning on press equipment
• Troubleshoot and adjust as needed to ensure top-quality output
• Conduct quality checks throughout each run and present finished samples for approval

Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of press operation
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
• Good knowledge of color and excellent visual acuity
• Basic computer and math skills
• Ability to multitask, set priorities, and meet deadlines
• Team-player attitude and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1–4 months of experience operating digital press machines

Physical Requirements

• Standing 50% of the time
• Lifting up to 35-75 lbs. repeatedly
• Carrying 25-50 lbs.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of materials

Schedule

1st shift (8:00 am – 4:00 pm)
