About the role
Perform semiconductor engineering design, development, and testing for firm products and devices in conjunction with product development for the electronic communications industry.
Responsibilities
- Implement new engineering assignments including engineering and designing chip layout circuits, circuit checking, documenting specifications, and modifying and evaluating semiconductor devices and components.
- Contribute to technical projects within the areas of testing methods, device specification, and yield problems; perform redesign of devices, components, or integrated circuitry for hardware and other systems.
- Review product requirements and logic diagrams for device definition.
- Ensure compliance with design specifications, codes, and stated requirements.
- Operate computer-assisted engineering software tools and configure the same to perform design engineering tasks and implement test programs and procedures.
- Confer with customers and other departments on design status, processing, testing and technical issues, and failure analysis.
- Monitor production of products and devices to ensure conformance to design specifications.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Engineering (with related variants such as VLSI or Physics), foreign equivalent or related field.
Skills
Position requires completion of a graduate-level course, research project, internship or thesis involving:
- Computer Aided Design (CAD) algorithms
- VLSI Circuits and design
- Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) circuits
- Cadence Innovus & Tempus, Synopsys Fusion Compiler, PrimeTime, RedHawk, and Siemens Calibre
- RTL to GDSII flow, including synthesis, timing closure, PnR, CTS Verilog
- TCL – Tool Command Language
- Synopsys VCS
- Static Timing Analysis
Pay
$115,500 per year
