About the role
The purpose of this class is to provide support to meet the technical video-related needs of the Communication Arts Studio, Digital Media Production and Mass Communication faculty and program.
Responsibilities
- Support the technical and video related needs of Digital Media Production and Mass Communication classes, instructors, the Communication Arts department and SOAC.
- Aid faculty with videotaping, transferring materials, uploading videos and editing.
- Follow security procedures related to the Communication Arts Studio classroom, studio area, control room, audio room, edit stations and equipment cage.
- Maintain inventory and organize equipment and materials in the Communication Arts Studio classroom, studio area, control room, audio room, edit stations, and equipment cage.
- Responsible for ongoing control and adherence to studio policy, edit station policy and equipment check-in and check-out procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of experience with Studio, Audio, Production, Video Production, Filmmaking and/or other related experience is required.
- Ace or higher in a related field is preferred.
- This position is based on the Catonsville campus.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in mass communication, digital media or other related field.
Skills
- Experience with video production software.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
