Digital Media Producer – Women's Basketball | Track & Field

About the role
This position will serve as the primary content creator for USC Women's Basketball and Track & Field, producing engaging digital content for distribution across multiple channels and social media platforms. The successful candidate will possess strong interviewing and storytelling skills, with the ability to produce highlight packages, feature stories, and promotional content that showcases the student-athlete experience and elevates the USC Athletics brand. The ideal candidate is creative, collaborative, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position will also assist in overseeing and developing student workers.
This role offers the opportunity to serve as a lead digital media producer for USC Women’s Basketball and USC Track & Field, two nationally recognized programs with proud traditions of excellence and achievement.
Reporting directly to the Director of Video Production, the Digital Media Producer will work in collaboration with social media, marketing, and other creative department staff to produce a variety of digital content. The ideal candidate will be a creative self-starter who is fluent in video production from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Operate complex video and audio equipment; capture video, audio, and images of programs and events
- Transport equipment to various sites for media production
- Use hardware and software to prepare, edit, and store digital content for assigned projects
- Assist in the creation of comprehensive digital content archives
- Produce highlight packages, feature stories, and promotional content
- Oversee and develop student workers
- Plan projects, work to timelines, and provide regular project status updates
- Manage multiple, in-parallel, fast-paced projects while interacting with different functional teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience (combined experience/education may substitute for minimum education)
- Submission of a reel is required
- Proficient with Adobe Premiere CC, Final Cut Pro, writing, camera operation, sound recording, lighting, and color grading
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe After Effects, Adobe Audition, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Speed Grade, etc.)
- Knowledge of run-and-gun production
- Proven ability to design and deliver video production within a fast-paced, technologically advanced environment and to deliver quality projects on time
- Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously while interacting with different functional teams
- Knowledge and passion for a variety of different sports
- Must be a team player with a great attitude
- Experience working in higher education and/or a sports-related field is ideal
- Full schedule flexibility, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel approximately 25% of the time
Pay
The hourly rate range for this position is $35.00 - $37.00.
