About the role

The Digital Media Buyer I supports the planning, execution, monitoring, and optimization of digital advertising campaigns across programmatic, social, and search platforms. This role works closely under the supervision of the Director of Ad Operations and alongside Digital Media Buyers to support the delivery of accurate, high-performing campaigns that align with client goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and optimize digital advertising campaigns across programmatic, social, and search platforms.
  • Monitor campaign performance and track results against established KPIs.
  • Adjust bids, budgets, targeting, and creative rotations during live campaigns.
  • Analyze campaign data and assist with reporting, insights, and optimization recommendations.
  • Manage digital campaign tasks from kickoff through completion, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
  • Troubleshoot platform, technical, and operational issues during the campaign lifecycle.
  • Avoidance of platform, technical, and operational issues during the campaign lifecycle.
  • Assist in maintaining vendor and media partner relationships, including partners such as Hulu, Peacock, and StackAdapt.
  • Conduct research on advertising platforms, tools, audience opportunities, and emerging media trends.
  • Support team best practices, process improvements, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure campaign work is completed accurately, on time, within scope, and within budget.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in digital marketing, digital advertising, or media buying.
  • Experience or familiarity with digital advertising platforms such as Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, and X.
  • Understanding of programmatic, social, search, CTV, OLV, and display advertising.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret campaign performance data.
  • Familiarity with campaign optimization, conversion tracking, attribution, and reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with political campaigns, advocacy organizations, or political communications.
  • Familiarity with DSPs, SSPs, and publisher or vendor integrations.
  • Knowledge of audience segmentation, targeting strategies, and media planning tools.
  • Understanding of supply path optimization.
  • Ability to translate campaign performance into clear insights for internal teams and clients.
